A Marine’s Disposable War

Kenny Bass, a former Marine infantryman during the 2003 Iraq invasion, reflects on the past with a new perspective with photos he took on a disposable camera 23 years ago.  Kenny was hit by a roadside bomb during a counter-ambush patrol while serving in Iraq. He suffered a traumatic brain injury and also suffered from post-traumatic stress.  Kenny is co-founder of The Battle Buddy Foundation which helps service-disabled combat veterans re-integrate themselves back into society by providing them with the help they need. Oftentimes that help is a highly skilled and trained service dog.
