Commanding Nuclear Missiles

Col Rick Baldwin will speak on Commanding Nuclear Missiles - long stretches of sheer boredom punctuated by brief episodes of utter terror.

Col (ret) Rick Baldwin is a graduate of the U. S. Military Academy and a 26 year Air Force veteran whose career focused on all manner of operational nuclear matters, command and control and staff for the Titan II, Minuteman and Ground Launched Cruise Missile (GLCM) systems.

He was the U.S. Representative to NATO for the the Nuclear Planning Group during the Clinton administration and later the Nuclear Operations Division Chief on the Joint Staff.  After retiring from the Air Force in 2001 he advised on program management and special operations programs at Wright-Patterson.
