ZOOM ONLY THIS WEEK:  OUr speaker is Lorelei Hagans Floyd, a Community and Education Program Specialist with Montgomery County Environmental Services. For the past 12 years, Lorelei has educated Montgomery County residents on recycling,water, wastewater, litter prevention and food waste initiatives.  In her role as Program Specialist,she provides tours, educational programs for local schools, communities, and businesses that want to learn more about sustainability in the Miami Valley region.  Lorelei Hagans-Lloyd will discuss the sanitary sewer system which collects the waste water in Kettering and carries it to one of the two regional waste water treatment plants where it is cleaned and disinfected before being released back into the surface water streams. She will also address the solid waste collection system and how the wastes are either recycled or disposed of.
