Various comments and updates

From Brenda:
Masks update. We have been overwhelmed with requests and do not have enough for everyone that needs a mask. We have created a Facebook group ‘KRC Masks’ to keep you informed on availability and pick up locations. We are trying to source more sewers to help our cause. Brenda has a business that will be opening up soon and will have limited time sewing. Please join the group above so we can have a streamlined and fair place to respond to the immense need. Thank you.

A couple responses from the famous questions:

From Tim McCrate:

My mother, who was born and raised in Baltimore, always told us that her family was related to John Paul Jones. I have never tried to check into the genealogy to see whether that can be substantiated.

Margie and I met Mother Theresa of Calcutta in a receiving line at a Church Teaches Forum conference in Louisville, KY in June, 1988.

From Don Walls:

My uncle had a heart attack many years ago and as a part of his recovery he did an ancestry check. He found out that my maternal grandmother, Nettie Williams was indirectly related to Mary Ball, the mother of George Washington. The most famous person I ever met was Ted Kennedy, I actually attended a conference with him in Washington D. C. and had an individual meeting with him concerning government funding of education.

Any more input? Remember, this was the background for the information -

Here are a couple questions I thought would be interesting to have answers. Please e-mail me at cpa1959@sbcglobal.net with the answers.

Who is the most famous person you are related to?

Mine is Archibald Butt, he was a great uncle on the Scholes side of the family. He was a military aide to Presidents Teddy Roosevelt and William Howard Taft. He died April 15, 1912 in the Atlantic Ocean. He went down on the Titanic. The family story is that when President Taft heard of the sinking of the Titanic, he asked if Archie made it.

Who is the most famous person you have met?

Mine would be Bob Johnson. He was the first draft choice of the Cincinnati Bengals. He was the starting center from 1968 through 1979.

We look forward to your answers.
