Future meeting information!
Please join us via ZOOM tomorrow (not in person) for a special presentation from Amanda George, live from Nigeria! Amanda was part of a group study exchange several years ago and our club hosted her and three others in April of 2013.
Amanda works with tween, teens and young adults and has built an impressive business for herself. She'll be filling us in on life in Nigeria during COVID, her best tips for communicating with teens and young adults and what she sees as universal challenges for us all. If you have questions for Amanda you can send them to me or ask her in person tomorrow! Join the ZOOM meeting with the link on the front page at 11:45am on our website.  www.ketteringrotary.com

Next week we will have our second in person meeting.

Yours in Rotary,

Brenda Stansfield,

This is Bill Lindahl.   We are now on track to meet, either in person or by Zoom, every week.  We have necessarily delayed finalizing a speaker schedule, but now we need to fill in all the open spaces for the next several months.

My first priority is to get speakers for 5 and 26 August.  [We have speakers for 12 and 19 August.]  All dates after that are open.

It is easy to schedule a speaker:
 - At the top of the Rotary home page, click on "Call for Speakers,"
 - View the calendar there to see the open dates,
 - Invite someone that would make an interesting speaker,
 - Send me the information requested,
I will then schedule the speaker and post it to the webpage.

One important note.  I try to schedule as many speakers as I can.  Other members have also been very helpful.  However, I need you help to sponsor a speaker:  find and contact a potential speaker, schedule the talk, provide the pertinent information for the website, and if possible, introduce the speaker.  I can coordinate the speakers, but I am not able to find and schedule all the speakers.

Thanks,
Bill Lindahl,
Kettering Rotary Speaker Coordinator

Bob Walsh is a Rotarian that has gone over and above in his service to his  fellow man. Two large tree limbs fell during the wind Saturday just missing the roof of a house next to Mel's. Bob, not finding a chainsaw on either street, went  to Home Depot and bought one. On Sunday 7/19 he cut up and moved the limbs near the street. I suspect Bob spent 2 to 4 hours cleaning up the mess.
I will give a HAPPY FIVE on Bob's behalf.
