Kettering Rotary hosts Ohio Supreme Court Justice Pat DeWine

 
 
We had another amazing speaker this week. Justice Pat DeWine came to our meeting and discussed all about the Ohio Supreme Court. It was informative and fun as he walked us through a case to demonstrate how cases make it to the OSC and the process the Justice's use to resolve a case.  We appreciated Justice DeWine taking the time to come and speak to us.

Welcome Back!
 
Kettering Rotary welcomed Matt Warhaftig back to our club. Mel Haines stood as sponsor, with Bruce Jump officiating the Induction. Matt, we're so happy you are back. Matt was a long time Kettering Rotary member but had a job change. His commitment to Rotary remained as he joined a club in Wilmington. Now he's back in Kettering and back 'HOME'.

SENIOR CARE PACKAGES DELIVERED!
 
Bob Walsh delivered our Senior Care Packages to Birchwood Place in Kettering this week. Thank you Bob! Thank you to every Rotarian who donated items, funds and time assembling the bags. The seniors truly appreciate it. Each month we deliver a little bit of joy of things seniors need and want - and spread the Goodwill of Rotary! Kettering Rotary Foundation Pledges $1,000.00 to the South YMCA!

We are happy to partner with the YMCA South, in Kettering. Our fellow Rotarian, Melinda Moore, is Executive Director and presented to both our club and our Board of Directors in April. We felt a pledge of $1,000.00 would impact many families and individuals in our community. The YMCA provided pandemic child care, food and other resources during 2020. In addition to helping people keep healthy and provide day and overnight camps for children of all economic means, the YMCA is a vital part of keeping Kettering a great place to live, work and play!
