Casseroles of Hope

Doyle & JoAnn Key are residents of Clearcreek Township. Doyle has lived in Dayton and the surrounding area all of his life and JoAnn came to Dayton from Niles, Ohio for a job after graduating from Miami University.

They have been involved in feeding the homeless for over 25 years with the casseroles program through St. Vincent DePaul for St. Vincent Hotel. They also managed and worked a community dinner in Franklin at their Church for 7 years.  When their church moved to Springboro, they transitioned the dinner program into a box lunch ministry.

Casseroles of Hope is a community driven ministry that Doyle and JoAnn started in April of 2022 to help feed the homeless in collaboration with Hope House Mission in Middletown, Oh.

The initial goal was to feed both shelters (men’s & women and children’s) once a month for a year.  Casseroles of Hope now delivers 3 days every month and hopes to add day 4 next month.  With the rapid growth to 80 volunteers, Doyle & JoAnn have further committed themselves with the development and launch of a new logo, website (casserolesofhope.org) and marketing materials. With the help of the community, they see no limits on how many people can be served.
