An Overview of the Electric Industry

Rob Beeler is the Customer Business Manager for Dayton Power & Light.

Dayton Power & Light is a T&D utility responsible for maintaining the Transmission and Distribution poles and wires that deliver electricity to our homes and businesses.  Rob Beeler, Customer Business Manager at  Dayton Power and Light, will provide an overview of the electric industry, including how electricity is generated, the transmission system to feed the substations, and the distribution system to deliver electricity from the substation to the customer.  The presentation will include the benefits of energy efficiency and solar energy and some of the upcoming investments that DP&L is making to improve reliability of the electric distribution system and the customer experience. 

BIO :

Rob Beeler is an account manager at Dayton Power & Light.  He provides DP&L’s largest customers with a single point of contact at the utility.  Rob also leads the utility economic development efforts to promote business retention & expansion efforts and attracting new business to communities served by DP&L.  Rob and his wife Julie live in Centerville with their four children.  They are active parishioners at Incarnation Catholic Church.
