Health Care Today and Tomorrow???

Paul Hoover is the Network Vice President of Strategic Development for Kettering Health Network, a Truven 15 Top Health System comprised of nine hospitals, 12 emergency centers, and more than 120 outpatient locations serving southwest Ohio.  In this role, Mr. Hoover drives growth, development, and alignment of the network’s strategy deployment, while building strong relationships with physicians and developing new services and lines of business by implementing creative improvements to processes.

Leveraging what he learned early in his career from an intensive, three-year leadership development program in healthcare operations as a management resident, Mr. Hoover gained valuable experience as a campus administrator before concentrating his expertise on strategic development.

As Associate Vice President for Florida Hospital Memorial Medical Center, Mr. Hoover led the design and construction of a 33,000-square-foot comprehensive cancer center and spearheaded 20% growth in oncology services over the previous year.

When Mr. Hoover served as Vice President of Business Development at Florida Hospital North Pinellas, he led initiatives that reversed declining volumes and revenues to create unprecedented growth, successfully turning a struggling hospital from $40M annual deficit to 14% margin. Mr. Hoover was also key in revitalizing critical physician engagement, moving the needle from a staggeringly low 6th percentile to the 84th percentile.

An experienced, focused healthcare operations leader, Mr. Hoover is a natural collaborator, with a keen sense of how healthcare networks work and how important strategic development is to the success of these types of organizations.
