Environmental Services | Part of our "Infrastructure" Series

Megan O’Leary is a communications professional, currently serving as Public Information Officer for Montgomery County Environmental Services. In this role, she establishes and maintains cooperative working relationships with local media, elected officials, and the public, to convey consistent messaging in support of the Board of County Commissioners' mission, goals, and initiatives. Prior to working for the County, Megan was a Web Producer at various news entities across the country, writing online news articles, and regularly ran social media pages of those outlets.

Megan is a graduate of the University of Dayton with her bachelor's in Communication and a Minor in Anthropology.

Megan is married to her husband Derek, and is a mother to two girls, Shannon and Emma. When she has the time, which is rare, she enjoys running and being out in nature. She also has two dogs at home – Carl and Simon.
