"Geospatial Intelligence Support to Military Operations"

Mr Setchell’s presentation will:

 - Contrast how airborne reconnaissance imagery that was acquired at great risk by US Army Air Forces combat photo-reconnaissance pilots during WWII compares with some of the unmanned airborne reconnaissance intelligence products that were routinely used in support of ground and maritime military operations during Operation Allied Freedom in Iraq and Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan.

 - Describe his involvement in the worldwide training program that had been put in place by the US Army and US Air Force in order to train US Army, US Marine Corps, and US Navy combat personnel on what these sophisticated airborne intelligence products were, what they could provide, and how to obtain them prior to their next operational deployment.

Mr. Setchell retired in Jan 2013 with five years’ experience in US ICBM (Intercontinental Ballistic Missile) operations and forty-two years’ experience executing scientific and technical intelligence management, analysis, education, and MASINT and GEOINT customer interaction and outreach activities. Formally recognized by the USAF, the US Army, the US Navy, the National Management Association, and Riverside Research for demonstrated expertise in intelligence management, analysis, education and overseas Allied support.
