Aug 24, 2022 12:00 PM
Lynda has been the Public Market Manager at the 2nd Street Market for Five Rivers MetroParks since December of 2018 and worked as the Market Coordinator for two years prior. Her previous work experience encompasses over 30 years of retail sales experience much of which was in the health food industry. In 2018, Lynda earned her bachelor's degree from Antioch University Midwest in Liberal Studies with a focus on health and wellness. Lynda, who grew up in Spokane, WA, has lived in Dayton with her husband Marc (Dayton native) and their two sons since 2004. She considers Dayton her home and loves being a part of a diverse community full of creative people. Her role at the Market brings her continual joy being able to interact and support local entrepreneurs as well as helping to provide local food access to those in need. Welcome to Kettering Rotary, Lynda! And thanks, Kathy Lindahl, for arranging Lynda's visit to our Club! |

![]() Kettering Holiday at Home 2022!!
Aug 31, 2022
Few events mean more to the soul of our Kettering Community than our Annual Holiday at Home Celebration. Whether it's the dozens of displays, artists, vendors, food booths, and car show at Lincoln Park. Or the Labor Day morning parade where people reserve their spots with lawn chairs the night before. Or maybe you have a kid who will be marching uphill in a wool uniform with sweat pouring but pride bursting. Save some gas! Stay off the scrambled airlines! ENJOY a classic Kettering Holiday at Home. Welcome to our Kettering Rotary Speaker's Podium, Courtney! And thanks to Missy Mae for reaching out to arrange this special treat. |

Calling all Rotarians. We are so excited to have our second year for our Holiday at Home Kettering Rotary Poffertjes booth!!! September 4 & 5 (Sunday & Monday) - And we need your help!
Volunteers are needed to help make and “decorate“ the Poffertjes, to collect money and hand out the orders. I have set up the schedule for 2 hour shifts for both Sun and Mon, with the beginning shift as part of set-up and the ending shift as part of clean-up. We are looking for 4 people per shift and if you want to do more than 1 shift - please feel free to sign up for consecutive shifts. This is a time when we ask you to recruit your friends and family to volunteer with us - it is a great way to introduce someone to Rotary.
What are poffertjes? Mini buckwheat & yeast Dutch pancakes topped with lots of butter, powdered sugar and toppings! (It's really all about those toppings!)
It's easy and fun to make them. We hope to have this become a signature item associated with our club. We might have a 'learning curve' this year - but for sure we'll have a lot of fun!
