We are excited to welcome Clothes That Work—an organization with 27 years of dedicated service in Dayton—into our community!

This week, we’ll hear from two of our fellow Rotarians: Cindy Garner, Executive Director of Clothes That Work and a member of Dayton Rotary, and Jane Snyder, Development Director and a member of Kettering Rotary.

They will share insights on their new space, the exciting growth and expansion taking place, and how Clothes That Work is equipping clients with the skills and confidence they need to succeed—not only in job interviews, but also in the workplace and beyond.

Join us as we celebrate this important new chapter and learn more about the powerful impact Clothes That Work continues to make in our community.

Our speaker this week is Dr. Phil Jenkins.  Dr. Jenkins is an expert on radon.  October is Rotary polio month.  Dr. Jenkins is a polio victim and his talk will be centered around his career and how polio has affected his career.

Jim is a vice president, financial advisor, and senior portfolio manager at Morgan Stanley with over thirty years' experience.

Rep Andrea White will share some of the lessons she learned during the past five years as our represtative to the Ohio House.  In addition, she will give us a legislative update.

Please welcome our District Govenor, Heidi Schiller, to learn the latest news from Rotary International and our district.  In addition, Bill and Kathy Lindahl will share some images of their recent trip to Kenya.

Cedric D. Howard is a lifelong Daytonian and a proud graduate of Dayton Public Schools and Patterson Co-op High School. He earned his degree in Business Management from Bowling Green State University and returned home to build a successful career across finance, insurance, government, and manufacturing. Cedric currently serves as Senior Community Relations Business Manager with Oak Street Health and is the owner of Tru-Blu Transport, a non-medical transportation company.

Deeply committed to service, Cedric is active on numerous community boards, including Miami Valley Crime Stoppers, Preservation Dayton, Wesley Dayton, and the Miami Valley Alzheimer’s Association Diversity Council. An advocate for the Alzheimer’s Association, Cedric founded the Making Memories Golf Outing to honor loved ones lost to the disease and to help fund the fight for a cure. Cedric believes that true fulfillment comes not from what we receive, but from what we give back.

Ms. Welborn is the author of the weekly “Ombudsman Column” published in the Dayton Daily News, author of the Ombudsman Office Weekly Update and the producer of the monthly “Ombudsman Program” on Dayton Access Television. 

Elisha Snyder is the Executive Director of Breast Wishes Foundation.  Elisha and Donna Butcher will talk about breast cancer, the history and mission of Breast Wishes Foundation, and their wish recipients.  Their mission is to grant wishes that bring JOY to those with breast cancer. 

Violence Free Futures works to end family, relationship, and sexual violence and its impact in Greene County through prevention, intervention, collaborative community programs, and safe housing.  The agency has grown to provide a full slate of holistic and comprehensive services include a 24-hour crisis hotline, children and youth services, community advocacy, counseling, education, training, and safe housing.
